WebVisions 2009: Call for Sessions and Workshops

WebVisions

WebVisions is now accepting submissions for sessions, panels and workshops for WebVisions 2009, which will be held from May 20-22, at the Oregon Convention Center.

  • Sessions are 1.25 hours long and address topics that reveal new directions, technologies, processes or approaches for the Web.
  • Workshops will be held on May 20th only, and are set up in a classroom format and run for 3 hours for a half day or 6 hours for a full day and should provide more in depth coverage of a topic.
  • Panels run for 1.25 hours and feature 3-4 speakers including a moderator. Panels should be fun, lively and informative, not a series of mini presentations from each speaker.

To submit a proposal for a session, panel or workshop, please use their submission form. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2008.

If you have any questions, contact Dana Cuellar (dana at webvisionsevent dot com) or Brad Smith (brad at webvisionsevent dot com).

Have an Idea for a Meeting?

As part of our summer reflection and re-engineering of the DevGroup programs, our planning group met and came up with ideas for meeting topics…these ranged from Adobe product release meetings to subjects such as mobile applications, motion graphics, podcasting, Google apps, “How-to” sessions, online training, user testing, design, “pimp your site”, social networking APIs, desktop applications / Adobe AIR and others.

But don’t be shy…share your ideas or submit a session pitch and we’ll put it in the hopper for consideration.
